Provider Promotional Services

AEI Promotional Services provide CRICOS-registered institutions with the opportunity to promote themselves on the Study In Australia (SIA) website and to display their promotional brochures in Australian Education Centres (AECs) and AEI Offices offshore, at no charge.

The SIA website is the official Australian Government website for advice to prospective international students on studying in Australia. The site offers students impartial and reliable information about courses, institutions, study and living costs, the application process, visa requirements, scholarships and more.

The site is now available in English, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian and both traditional and simplified Chinese. Eligible Australian education providers can display information on their courses through website free of charge. The Interactive Map on the SIA website allows visitors to browse a list of institutions across all locations in Australia in more detail. Many institutions currently utilising this service provide comprehensive information and images, with direct links to their own websites.

At the Australian Education Centres (AECs), international students can view institutions’ hardcopy promotional materials* and use the computer terminals in the Centres to access information via the Study in Australia website. Where detailed assistance on a particular institution or course of study is required, staff of the centre will refer the student to an institution’s nominated referral point. AECs also organise generic group counselling sessions for prospective students.

*Please note: All AEI offices in China and the AEI office in Los Angeles do not have dedicated AECs and are limited to displaying two copies of hardcopy promotional materials from your institution.

Providers should note that the SIA website will always display the institution’s name as registered with the CRICOS registration authority. The name can only be changed through that registration authority.

Managing Your PPS Application

Following approval of the PPS application, clients have the ability to manage their PPS application and webpage details on the Study in Australia website via the my account section of the website or by clicking on the manage application (above) link in the left-hand menu on this page. This allows the client to enter details about the institution such as the history, location, student numbers, admission requirements, important dates and accommodation costs.

Student Servicing and Referrals

Students visiting Australian Education Centres do not normally require intensive staff assistance during early stages. Initial servicing may be through the use of computer terminals which provides access to the Study in Australia website, or by self-help reference centres, which often include a photocopying facility if practicable.

Where detailed assistance on a particular institution or course of study is required, staff of the centre will refer the student to an institution’s nominated referral point.

The referral of prospective students to an institution’s point of referral shall be free of charge. Upon approval of client applications for AEI Provider Promotional Services, offshore offices will be notified to expect hardcopy promotional materials from your institution. Address details for the AEI International Network can be found on the AEI Contacts page.

Meetings with AEI Offshore Staff

Representatives of providers and other organisations that intend to visit countries, in which Australian Education Centres are located, may request a pre-arranged introductory or ‘catch-up’ meeting with Counsellors or Locally Engaged Staff. Such meetings may be requested and arranged by contacting the relevant Counsellor. Representatives should note however, that substantial consultations of a commercial nature will be subject to a consultancy fee.
