Counsellor Services

Australian Education International (AEI) offers a range of services through its international network, some of which are outlined below. Through consultation with Counsellors and Locally Engaged Staff, Clients can also seek specific information and advice that will assist with marketing, business or other purposes related to the international education and training industry.  To request any AEI offshore services, please contact the relevant AEI Counsellor/Advisor.

Education Agents
AEI is working in partnership with an Australian registered training organisation to develop online training for Education Agents. The training will be available from April 2006. Please see the attached bulletins for more information.

In-Country Assistance
AEI international staff can provide advice and support to visiting clients.  AEI offshore staff can suggest suitable organisations to visit, plan itineraries and make the appropriate appointments required.  Alternatively, AEI can make appointments on behalf of an Australian institution, where the institution specifies which organisations it wishes to visit. 

AEI international staff can provide advice on the authenticity and status of an institution in-country and undertake student counselling at the request of an Australian provider.  They may also be able to assist with facilitating aspects of study tours, which an Australian provider is conducting for a group of students.

Administration Services
AEI can provide a number of in-country administrative services to support activities such as scholarship schemes, Alumni Chapters and marketing.  AEI can offer advertising, administration and liaison services, in-country coordination, advice, event coordination and other general administration services.  AEI can also arrange translation, production, printing and distribution of promotional and other materials and can supervise examinations undertaken by students in-country.

Events
AEI can organise offshore seminars and workshops for Australian institutions.  AEI can also promote upcoming in-country events such as seminars, workshops, alumni functions, counselling programs and other events.  An organisation may request to hire AEC facilities in order to conduct meetings, functions, interviews, examinations and other events.  AEI offshore staff can also use in-country experience to make recommendations on venues to an Australian institution for off-shore events such as meetings, functions, interviews, examinations etc. as well as book selected venues on behalf of the institution.

Market Information
AEI offshore staff may conduct specific market research and/or intelligence at the request of the client.  AEI offshore staff can also provide briefings to clients on aspects of education, science and training in the relevant country.

Translation and Interpreting
AEI offshore staff may provide the services of an interpreter to institutions and organisations for meetings, discussions, events etc.   AEI offshore staff can also translate institutional materials on request.
