In response to the call for applications for EU/AU cooperation in higher education and VET projects, the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) has received inquiries from institutions in the EU seeking partners in teacher training (pre-school / primary school) and European languages / interpreting.
A higher education institution in Portugal has indicated its interest in taking part in the current round or future rounds. Its area of speciality is teacher training (pre-school; primary school education).
An institute for technical languages (law, economics, medical science, engineering) linked with the University of Warsaw, Poland, has expressed an interest (in German) in forming a partnership in a range of language combinations including Polish, German, English and Russian.
As applications for the current round of projects are due on 6 June 2008, interested parties may wish to contact these institutions to explore opportunities for future cooperation, including EU/Australia mobility projects.
